Yee-up. Tend to be evil all over.

How do you guys deal with them? Just one was quite a hassle for us to be honest.

[ buffy...follows. what? she's curious. ]

Killed 'em. Had to lead a war at one point.

[Opening the door and... A MONKEY. It jumps out!!

Okay no more: Melaka isn't reacting much to Gates jumping out of the room. She actually just sort of sighs and hopes it won't make Buffy jump too much]

[ there is a tightening of the slayer's posture but no genuine jumping; she was, at least, pre-warned by the crashing and smashing. her eyes do widen, however, and she swings her sight quickly from gates to melaka. ]

Mm sometimes that's all it does take. I-I think people would appreciate what you're doing for them. [ if they knew. ] So then you're from Giles and Buffy's world as well then?

Yeah. Found 'em on a grab, he stole something from me, but lead me so something else. Fig'd I owed letting him stay as a flatmate.

[She looks up at where Gates is settling into climbing around the ceiling. She does like the little bastard too]

Yeah. Lost a lot for it, but I got the demon brain all over me to prove it.

I see... Indeed something like that would have a high prize.

[It had one even at her own world, they managed to always keep reviving their friends even after they died and resurrected once already... But they aren't the only ones who died. In the back of her mind she knows and sometimes she wonders if there won't be people whom they didn't resurrect, because they didn't know they died in those fights, or because they had died before already and couldn't be resurrected again unless using the Namekian dragon balls. Still, she tries to not think about it.]

Ouch, that doesn't sound too pretty. Guess he's still bitter about getting dumped by one of us.

[ buffy keeps her sights set firmly on the monkey. ]
