Sasha is a pokémon who always finds herself at a crossroads - she likes to look very pretty, but she also likes to be strong, the best of the best when it comes to the sparring that happens in her team. While she was a Drilbur, she was a magpie - she's gotten past that now that she's evolved, but she does go out of her way to get little trinkets or jewelry to accent herself. She also has a budding interest in theater. All of these things are something she's working on time managing.

Melaka encountered Sasha during a trip into the Deep Mines where she intended to meet and Aggron she had encountered before on a previous mission.  Ironically, this Aggron had been nearly killed by an Excadrill, and as a result Melaka was immediately wary of the Drilbur she encountered.  However, it quickly became clear that Sasha was nowhere near as strong, old, or dangerous as the larger counterpart, and Melaka ended up bonding with the somewhat awkward pokémon.  Partially out of surprise and apology for the mistake but also because of curiosity as to if she would evolve into the same species as the one from before.

In terms of personality, Sasha is a magpie.  The mole tends to have a tunnel going everywhere, and os basking in the fact that Union is a far less brutal "society" than the tunnels from whence she came, and despite a shy personality - which is largely why she has no strong bonds with the rest of Melaka's team as of yet - she has taken it upon herself to show off the things she has collected or dug up to people or pokémon who'll listen.  Union's "earth," being a tower city, is very different from her first home, unfortunately.

<ul><li>Sasha's a surprisingly timid little mole.  Even now, she's small for an Excadrill, though that doesn't meant she's lacking in power.  Really, it's more like confidence that she has a dearth of, despite all the efforts she's made to grow stronger through working with her trainer.</li>
<li>When she was a Drilbur, Sasha made a habit of tunneling around under Unions roads as she navigated the city.  She still does sometimes, but as an Excadrill she's found that makes problems for people with the potholes she can make when she surfaces.  As a result, she's gotten more used to running on her two feet.</li>
<li>She's a bit of a magpie - Sasha is very fond of collecting shiny or otherwise interesting objects and making use out of them as accessories, items to pay off Gunther for more interesting items, or just parts of her collection.  She keeps a stash in her burrow.</li>
<li>Perhaps because of the magpie behavior, Sasha is the one who created Mel's interest in the battle use of berries in earnest through her discovery of both individual berries and some trees of them in the Verdant Forest.  Prior to this, Melaka mainly only kept Aspear or Oran berries, but now uses as wide variety.</li>
<li>Recently, Sasha's taken an interest in theater, perhaps due to a favorable encounter with Haruka's Beartic.  Time will tell if anything comes of this newfound interest, but she at least likes the idea of dressing up and accessorizing more.</li>
