In my world at least, mostly because Gods aren't all powerful beings right from the start. They become close to all powerful through training I suppose, but at the end of it anyone could become God if they have a pure heart and enough power, as well as a will to protect and look after the world.

[Bulma is all fine with this actually, because her scientist part has issues accepting that humanity was just created by a deity. She can believe in magic and such but not even Shenron can just go and create something out of nothing.]

I guess I could tell you one demon I met. But be warned, there's some things I don't remember well.

Back home, it's common for demons to attempt to make contracts with the living. That's the way they get souls. Of course, people shouldn't do business with them, because demons doesn't believe in fair play.

Unfortunately, some do end up making deals. The client we had accidentally inherited a contract like that, and was in danger because of it.

[He's starting to remember why he rarely talks about this.]

Yeah, we got a fair few of 'em.

[Contracts though, huh...? Hm.]

[Hm. She nods to herself. Yeah, she can understand that]

No, it's over. Over and done with and OVER. He's dead. The dead don't usually come back, there. And she wants my head now I'll wager.

Where I come from, people used to believe in demons. Hmm...most people don't think they're real, but after seeing this place, who knows what's really possible?

Why were you asking about demons anyway?

Well I'm not sure if you're familiar with them but...the Ars Goetia family. They're a family of demons, highly prodigious group, of them actually. Most of the demons I come across either work for them or are in some subsection of a business they own.

[ Aside from Lucifer they're one of the main branches of families Helios has encountered. ] They actually invited me over one time to their estate in Greece.

So far the system seems to have worked pretty well. Though at times I wonder if there's one God per planet, or that's just mine. I know there are higher deities above the God of Earth, but I don't know how they got to those positions.

[She wouldn't be surprised if it was a similar process anyway.]
