Oh. He might like that. [And more rumbling. She sighs and then goes to open the door to the other room. Down the hall she goes]

Okay no more: Melaka isn't reacting much to Gates jumping out of the room. She actually just sort of sighs and hopes it won't make Buffy jump too much]

[ there is a tightening of the slayer's posture but no genuine jumping; she was, at least, pre-warned by the crashing and smashing. her eyes do widen, however, and she swings her sight quickly from gates to melaka. ]

...Your monkey has extra arms.

[She said as Gates leaps to climb up to the rafters]

...Huh. Why aren't there every any normal monkeys, huh? I swear. Since coming here the only monkeys I've ever seen? An undead one and your...demony one.

[ she crosses her arms. ] He's from home? [ our home. how novel that still feels! ]

Yeah. Found 'em on a grab, he stole something from me, but lead me so something else. Fig'd I owed letting him stay as a flatmate.

[She looks up at where Gates is settling into climbing around the ceiling. She does like the little bastard too]
