But lurks...sorry, vampires...were born from humans.

Got that story. Once upon a time, dimensions and demons, then they left. Ones that left bread with humans, hid or... infected. That at one was lurks.

...granted, I've never heard whether one of our vampires would be able to turn a person from a different world. And the Malnosso can even manufacture vampirism here, when they get a mind to.

I'm saying there's a chance he might not be able to. It's just a theory, and I consider the fact that, up until Harth, it hadn't had a chance for practice to be a blessing.
