[Out tonight. On roofs, over buildings, watching. Looking - it's gotten colder so now's in in a coat and all, but ... restless. Back from the mission on the second, slow to give Summers back the scythe. Slower still to calm down after all that fighting. Winged bastards. Her own wings twitch in the night air- she can still see her breath in the air too. Ridiculous. See her all over town tonight looking around for something that needs protecting or watching. A patrol, in other words.

This is complicated at about midnight. A bizarre feeling strikes her she can't pinpoint he origin of. A great sense of loneliness and need to belong. It's from that moment that she decide to first go to the item shop late at night - either breaking in or walking in depending on if it's open - and seeing if she can find some piercing studs. From there, to the Smithy - see if anyone's there, and if no one else (and given this late hour she doubts anyone is) admiring that's in the windows before shaking her head and walking back to her apartment. The next morning, this appears on the journals:]

[Something to make her feel like she has some rutting control here. She gets back from fighting just to find people had some sort of an event happen when she was gone, not to mention this nagging feeling she got last night. Bah. The lack of thought going into this shows in her voice.]

[Melaka isn't the only one out on roofs tonight, although Gambit isn't out for a patrol. After spending a while on the roof of Community Building 1 - and definitely not missing the movement around the plaza - he relocates to his usual tree branch perch near the Item Shop. Idle curiosity. There isn't much else to do this time of night.

Once Melaka is on her way past, glowing red eyes and a Cajun drawl will meet her from the tree.]

[There's a frustrated sound. It normally doesn't bug her. It doesn't, she does it a lot and she knows even for a warrens girl she does this a lot. But again and again having to explain basic language is just starting to piss her off. Right now. But her voice is civil when she replies]

It's the second moment when she recognizes the voice and then on closer inspection (as Slayers apparently have minor darkvision) the face. She smiles, just a bit]

I guess that could be possible. You'd have to find the stuff in the first place. Or have someone make you a stud or ring, I'm sure they could manage that at the smithy.
