So, is this Slayer part two here, show up in some "other world?" Gotta say, this is totally toy if it is.

[To be honest, she's not sure if she believes this is the case or not. She's just restless - to be out of Versi, to not be near Gates or Erin or her new flat with all the heritage she was just beginning to discover. To assume - or perhaps more accurately, pretend - that showing up in this weird wing-world is an extension of that whole deal.

If anyone wants an action portion instead, she's ~~wishing she had her scythe or blaster~~ hanging out around central plaza, on one of the shop roofs, watching people. At least she has on her own set of clothes by now]

Little of both. Proper term ends up being "vampire"

Vampires? There might be a few around. Haven't seen them myself, but I'd be surprised if there weren't any.

Yeah, they got a tendency to creep around.

...Hence the name, actually.

Makes sense. Still, if they were around, they'd have to tread carefully. Too many hero types in this village to really do any damage.

[She looks around - she didn't think of it because they're on ground level and she showed up later in the day, but there's a lot of exposed area here. Is there... a dome or something?]

Guess it makes sense that they'd be hiding, though. Don't vampires burn up in the sun?

Yeah. It's one of the ways to dust 'em. That, wood to heart, behead, or fire.

And just about anyone can learn fire magic here. I can see why they'd stay in hiding.

Yeah. Just have to make contact with the spirits. It's kind of complicated, but it gets the job done.

What's the contract? Cost? Time? Sacrifice?

No cost other than time, and it usually takes about a month to get the basics down. For fire, anyway.

How long it takes depends on the spirit.

Just time - only time, and yer sure.

Positive. I learned some of it a while back, even if I don't use it these days.
