So, is this Slayer part two here, show up in some "other world?" Gotta say, this is totally toy if it is.

[To be honest, she's not sure if she believes this is the case or not. She's just restless - to be out of Versi, to not be near Gates or Erin or her new flat with all the heritage she was just beginning to discover. To assume - or perhaps more accurately, pretend - that showing up in this weird wing-world is an extension of that whole deal.

If anyone wants an action portion instead, she's wishing she had her scythe or blaster hanging out around central plaza, on one of the shop roofs, watching people. At least she has on her own set of clothes by now]

...I dunno, I'm a warren gal. Never need to think too much about UVs down there. You got 'screen strong enough for this direct of exposure?

[Melaka stops moving there, paused in messing the bags. No... way. She couldn't have heard that right, could she have]

[She shifts to give the other girl her full attention. She doesn't want to be telling her something if the reason has to do with her... species or whatever.]

Ya got a reason why it would?

The UVs, 'course. [She turns, wide-eyed, a little awestruck] The barrier blocks 'em all? Enough that you only need to worry 'bout a skin thing?

Most worlds I know, the only thing ya hafta worry about with the sun is a skin thing. You can burn, from the heat. Or if you're in it too much, you can get a skin cancer. Luceti's just like that.

[That little? No radiation sickness? No little girls losing limbs at birth? No girls going blind from looking to direction? No hair pigmentation changing? No anything? No mutations? No... She inhales, trying to not betray how ... she doesn't even know if she's jealous or just in awe. A little of both, probably]

[In the whole bit of space the end result is she gets "essentials - sunblock, because the paranoia will never completely go away - some pieces of wood she can make stakes out of, batteries, some thick (and thin!) wires she expects will be strong, a pully...

It all goes into her big camping bag. Actually, at the end of it she ends up wondering, and looks to find Rogue to ask]

Hey, sorry- one more thing. Shop yonder looks like it has a focus on ancient arms. If you're vying for a blaster, where'd find that?

[If you can get a blaster at all. She sort of... is doubting it]

[She nods. ...Actually- Shifting the weight of the bag over her shoulder, hhe holds out a hand, to shake. She's been giving this girl all sorts of grief since she walked in]

[Rogue takes the shorter girl's hand in her - fortunately - completely gloved one for a brief shake.]

Rogue. [Hand. Dropped.] Good luck.

Thanks. [And when the hand drops, she adjusts the back again, smiling a bit. It's a bit forced, but... she turns to go then]
