So, is this Slayer part two here, show up in some "other world?" Gotta say, this is totally toy if it is.

But hey, girl's gotta do, right? So any lurks out there, here I am. Come find me, I dare you.

[To be honest, she's not sure if she believes this is the case or not. She's just restless - to be out of Versi, to not be near Gates or Erin or her new flat with all the heritage she was just beginning to discover. To assume - or perhaps more accurately, pretend - that showing up in this weird wing-world is an extension of that whole deal.

If anyone wants an action portion instead, she's wishing she had her scythe or blaster hanging out around central plaza, on one of the shop roofs, watching people. At least she has on her own set of clothes by now]

[ damn straight, she reacts. buffy takes those two seconds and slips her short sword's blade up to melaka's throat. light, non-dangerous pressure. ]

Actually no this is it [ action ]

[Oh Jesu, she's fast - faster than Icarus, father than the lurks she's fought before now. Her eyes widen a little when she feels the point after the daze corrects itself. But, less than a second later...

She doesn't do stand offs

She does a standing leap backwards into a handstand, cocking her upper body back and trying to kick Buffy in the process. Sure she needs to let go of the sword to do that, but she'll leap right back to her feet after springing from the handstand and try to retrieve it]

[ buffy ducks low to avoid that kick -- flashing melaka a quick glance when their eyes meet mid-maneuver...but then buffy is back and out of range and twisting her sword anxiously in her hands. she had considered knocking melaka's weapon out of reach but...she's not here to win this fight. she's here to prove her skills. so, almost graciously, she hand-signals the other slayer back to her blade. ]

[She actually has half-gone for her blaster before she realized - duh - she doesn't have it. ...And then Buffy makes that movement. She blushes a little, frowns, and then goes to pick it up again. And more to hide her surprise than anything, she goes in for a more strike almost immediately once its in hand]

[ buffy bends backward to avoid that strike; her spine contorting with the effort. and then she drops to the ground and plants her palms and kicks out a sharp foot in an effort to trip her up. ]

[Denied - from a standing jump Melaka leaps a few feet in the air, aiming to make her, sword in hand, fall on Buffy. Come on, gravity]
