[A sigh, and then he stands up on his branch.]

I need to go. Don't get in my way.

[With that said, he leaps back down in to the lower branches and sets off for the barracks.

Weird as everything that's going on is, it might be more troublesome to stop her. As he's not doing secretive, it's really not a big deal of she's just following him, though. He'll be on his guard if she does more than that.

Besides. It'll be an interesting learning experience if she keeps up.]

[Why would she get in the way? She's fine with behind. Not sure why, but she feels compelled to see what this guy is up to. Which is why she keeps pace a few branches behind him. One of them snaps when she impacts, so she grabs the one below it, keeping up a bit lower now, trying to swing up higher]

[Distracting him also counts. Maybe he should've ignored it and kept going, but when he heard the branch snap he did stop to make sure she hadn't fallen. Loud as she was, it's easy enough to spot her again, though.

She may as well stay on the lower branches. As soon as they come close to the barracks, Shikamaru will leap out of the trees and to the ground below.

[He's not obligated to provide those, thank you very much. Especially since he didn't want to be followed around in the first place.

So after confirming he's there, he shrugs his shoulders and walks into the barracks. He'll pick up a jacket someone left behind there as he makes a beeline for the teleporters.

Close as that moon is getting... he's curious to see if anything's happening to the ocean.]

[And she... follows as far as when he goes to enter the teleporter. The compelling urge to follow vanishes as soon as he's actually out of sight. Huh. that's neat. Well, she'll just be on her way then]

[Lucky that. He's not going to be out there long, and when he does come back through he's soaked even with the jacket. He'll have to find those computers Albert told him about from here. If she's not there, that's one less distraction at least, and he'll be twice as stealthy leaving just in case.

That was a weird encounter though. He wonders if he'll run in to her sometime after this experiment - because he's sure it is one - is over. Until then, he won't think much of it.]
