Figures. [He sighs, though he doesn't let his guard down just yet.] Hope you're more talkative than this on a regular day.

[That last comment is mostly said to himself. ANBU at home aren't very talkative... so maybe that's an effect of the mask. He really needs to get going, but he needs to make sure the mask isn't going to make her do something else that will just cause him problems.]

[On the morning of the 25th, Melaka will hear a soft knock outside of her door. When she gets there, of course, there's nothing there except a wrapped box and a note.

Merry Christmas, Melaka. Thank you for celebrating with me. I though you might enjoy some items I enjoy from home, but don't feel forced to use them. I hope we can spread some cheer at the bar tonight, if you're not busy.

Inside the box, there's a small collection of things Azusa enjoys from home. An incense set, a scented candle, a coffee mug, and a small stuffed dog. There's also some "less girly" things inside, including a lighter, a bottle opener, a few bottles of beer, and a pair of warm socks...don't ask.]

[Back from her mission Melaka is really, really tired. But he's also ecstatic, mostly because of what she has in her hand. A long, very sharp, very hard bone that Davis let her keep. Sure she got docked half her points, but. So worth it.

...She goes to crash on Azusa's couch instead of in her own apartment. But she also leaves a voice message including a video of one of the teeth from the monster-wall mouths in her hand]

[Azusa comes home at a normal hour, a bag of food from Seventh Heaven and her bag in one hand. With the lights off, she doesn't even see Melaka on her couch and sets her stuff down on her table before moving to turn them on. Hm, hm, shiny smile...]
