8th Dusting

[Voice / Action]

[You know she almost, almost signed on for that one mission. A guard, surviving, she knew she could handle it. But then when she saw that "desert" thing. she has no idea what a desert is, so today she is at the library researching that, mostly because she really doesn't have much better to do today. She is clearly in a better mood though- all her earrings are in place (one of them she even thinks might be gold) and she she has a shiny nose stud in place. But... as she learns more and looks into these things more-

..Jesu.

She's gotten over being afraid of the sun (somewhat) in Luceti, mostly because of how dreary winter is, but that desert that... she flips open her journal]

Hey, Luceti. Talk to me 'bout the sun. Some of you got tales for it, right? Gotta.

[Feel free to answer her or see her in the library]

Was he? [She laughs quietly, knowing which Helios Giles was talking about, but it's funny all the same.] Ah, yes, I see his comments.

We have a friend named Helios. An amusing coincidence. But back on the topic of gods. in some versions, Helios and Apollo have become almost identical. Driving a chariot across the sky to raise the sun and all.

...You've never heard of cancer.

Unfortunately the sun in my world is rather boring. It heats the world, it lightens the day, etcetera, etcetera. Now in terms of mythology, it's a whole different story. But I'm sure you're aware.

[...The hell is radies.]

It's a disease. Skin cancer is only one form of it. It's when your cells decide to stop working properly--and give you tumors and nasty things like that. Sun gives you skin cancer. That's why you always take your SPF 70 to the beach.

Exactly. Though it's curious--you don't ever hear about people in Luceti developing these kinds of diseases. Must be another one of the Malnosso's little tweaks to make us all better humans.

[Like how they fixed his palladium poisoning. It doesn't sit well with him.]
hisdarkmark: (I think this backfired)

What is everyone else telling you about? Wouldn't want to repeat myself.

[The reaction is not missed on Homura's part.]

Is something wrong?

Yeah. Are ya... from Buffy's world, or didjya meet 'im, like, a couple weeks ago?

Yeah, it does, doesn't it? People would just be able to stare at the moon for a really long time and wonder like 'geez, what's up with that?'

Is that so? Well, there's bound to be someone who knows more about her than I do. Why are you asking, though?
