[You know she almost, almost signed on for that one mission. A guard, surviving, she knew she could handle it. But then when she saw that "desert" thing. she has no idea what a desert is, so today she is at the library researching that, mostly because she really doesn't have much better to do today. She is clearly in a better mood though- all her earrings are in place (one of them she even thinks might be gold) and she she has a shiny nose stud in place. But... as she learns more and looks into these things more-

She's gotten over being afraid of the sun (somewhat) in Luceti, mostly because of how dreary winter is, but that desert that... she flips open her journal]

Hey, Luceti. Talk to me 'bout the sun. Some of you got tales for it, right? Gotta.

Never had a lotta class myself, how 'bout you give me a lesson now?

Well.. Ami-chan's actually much better at this than me, but sure, I'll try my best!

[ clearing her throat. ]

The ancient Egyptians lived.. well, a long time ago! In ancient times and all! And they were really old and mysterious and all that, and uh.. they had their own stories about nature too, like they thought the way the river flooded was because gods did it! And lots of people in other countries back in that time also thought up gods and stories to explain how things in nature happened.

[ voice ]

Gods does kinda seem to be the trend for all the ancient spin. [A beat, and she rolls his shoulders] How ancient we talking, and why mysterious?

[ voice ]

Um.. I think might have been about two thousand years ago or so? Maybe more.. [ not like Usagi really knows with her lack of knowledge on.. well, a lot of things. ]

And they're pretty mysterious since they have mummies and all! You know, they come back to life after death and it's super scary!

[ voice ]

Back to life- what's a mummy?

[ voice ]

You know, those creepy people wrapped in bandages who are actually already dead yet still come back to life all the time!

[ voice ]

I don't know, which is why I asked. [...] Sounds like a lurk though. Suck blood?

[ voice ]

[lunas]

... Wait.. if they suck blood, then they would be mummy vampires! That almost sounds like it could be a horror movie.

[ voice ]

...So they aren't lurks?

[ voice ]

[lunas]

[ pausing.. ]

Actually, I've never heard of these lurks before, ahahaha!

[ voice ]

Vampires. Vamps. Lurks're vamps.

[ voice ]

[lunas]

Mummies are not vampires, I'm sure of that much! Mummies, vampires, werewolves, zombies, they're all different kind of horror monsters!

... Although zombies and mummies are sort of alike..

[ voice ]

Only know half of 'em. Tell me about the wolves and talk more 'bout the mummies.

[ voice ]

Um, werewolves are like.. people who transform into big huge ferocious wolves during full moon! They're pretty scary! [ probably learned this from some late-night horror movies she regretted watching in retrospect.. ]

And I don't know what else there is to say about the mummies. Oh, I know, they usually start walking because they're part of a trap! They have to be activated! ... Hmm, I'm not sure how that works exactly either..

[ voice ]

-Trap? Why would you have undead on a trap?

[ voice ]

I don't know, maybe they take using mummies is a good way to take care of intruders?

[ voice ]

Mmm~ ...Fair 'nough. Speaking as a grabber, that might be pretty bad.

[ voice ]

[lunas]

You're a.. grabber? [ ... ] What do those do, grab things?

[ voice ]

You got it. Someone needs something, I got get it for 'em.

[ voice ]

[lunas]

Huh, that seems like some really strange kind of job!

... Does anyone ever ask you to get the remote control for them? That happens at my house a lot!

[ voice ]

Not much. Usually sil, chems, coi, artifacts.

[ voice ]

[lunas]

Wait, 'artifacts' is something I can still get, but what are those other ones? They sound more like kinds of coughs than actual.. you know, things!

[ voice ]

[makeitquick]

Coi's coi and sil's sil. How do those sound like a cough?

[ voice ]

[lunas]

[ cue Usagi making some vague coughing noise during which she attempts to say 'coi' as well - it ends up sounding almost funny. ]

[ voice ]

[UGH. Strained voice:] Coi. Coi! You know, solid money!
