[The camera begins opening on her naval area. She has on a loose top despite it's finally getting warm enough for her to reasonably do so - as such, her middrift is exposed. And with it is exposed something she got this time last month. It's a very deliberate showing (and a message about being willing to talk she hope she doesn't have to say outright), and she then jerks it back up to her face. As usually, she has about four earrings in and the nose stud, but her wings are exposed due to a lack of coat. The silver clip on her left wing and the tattoo she has on that same shoulder are thus both plainly visible.

And her expression... well she's trying to make it less hard than it maybe tends to be. Still, given her subject matter, it's still severe]

Four rutting kidnappings on this book in the last three days. Anyone spot that? Had to. [exhale]

Need some carrier pigeons. [Maybe she should request that if/when she gets a new mission. Yes, definitely should.]

[It's not like either he or Melanie could accuse the other of cheating. They were both equally at fault there.]

[Solid... yeah, guess they kind of are. But, this is all that needs to be said, isn't it? He hopes anyway.]

[She bites her lip. She really, really wants to just agree to that but maybe she should talk about her feelings. She looks at Kurt. She looks at the table. then back at Kurt.]

I think that's their specialty here. [Kurt likes his black tea. With plenty of sugar. He's not shy about that.]

[Nodding, he stands up and heads over to the counter to get some tea. He returns soon enough, setting down two cups.]

I guess you really like healthy stuff, yeah?

Don't know a lotta tea, really. Azu just has this stuff.

[And, to be honest, it's pretty good]

I tried that stuff. Way too bitter for me. [He holds up his own cup.] This? Full of sugar, the way it's supposed to be.

Sug...ar. Huh. [A beat] Back in the 21st like that a lot?

Are you kidding? We live on that stuff.
